Powerspex Total Process Automation is the proud sponsor of youth carnival association the Pearse Köp starting this season.
The idea originated 3 years ago when Lars Weiden presented himself to the association as a goatee. The project engineer at Powerspex led the Weerselo Youth Carnival that year with his brother Stijn, and a delegation of more than 20 Powerspexers were present at the jonkerbal.
"All of them were carnival enthusiasts," Weiden explains. "From different associations, of course, because the colleagues come from all over Twente and beyond. Nice to visit each other and celebrate carnival together."

The group was able to hit the road again right after that, because that's when colleague Maarten Pouwels announced himself as youth prince of the Bökk'n Hörnkes in Albergen. "Then we had a logo and carnival jackets made. After all, it turned out that about a quarter of Powerspex celebrated carnival."

Powerspex carnival jackets are expected to be worn again next season. "Powerspex is a young company. Many employees are members of carnival associations. They are also all still technical people and they are often members of a wagon building association, technical committee or something similar," said Weiden, who is himself head of wagon building at the Pearse Köp.
Year-long sponsor
Powerspex is thus now a sponsor of the Pearse Köp, at least for a year. The Powerspex logo has been adapted for it and appears on various platforms.
