To develop and deliver two versions of generic training simulators of Waste Energy Plants.

Description of work.
In cooperation with the R&D fund and actively participating AECs (Attero, HVC and AVR), training simulators were developed using PsxCad Simulation Software.

Two variants were provided:

1. The first simulator has a so-called wet flue gas cleaning line with a SNCR, E-filter, wet scrubber and cloth filter. In addition, the first simulator has a steam turbine without expansion to a heat network.
2. The second simulator has a semi-dry flue gas cleaning line with E-filters, SCR, spray dryer, wet scrubber and external economizer and a heat network extension.

With these two simulators, lessons and training can be provided for both operators of the AECs as well as students cq. students in regular education.

For the Lelystad location, Powerspex also provided and co-installed related hardware (computers, monitors, TVs and network)

The simulators provide a nice basis for possible future expansions with, for example, a Carbon Capture Unit, heat networks with buffers, E-boilers and geothermal energy.
