Featured: vacancy PCS7 software engineer

Five job openings are currently open at Powerspex. During the application process, we highlight one each Friday. Today the vacancy for PCS7 software engineer.

This is a position that recently became vacant. "Meant for an experienced engineer," indicates manager of software engineering Rien Broekkamp. "Someone who knows how to pull colleagues to the next level."

The new colleague will join a team of software engineers who are mainly working on process automation projects in the continuous processes. "Truly a fun challenge for PCS7 engineers. PCS7 is mainly deployed with high end customers working with complex processes, often working in important and critical infrastructures such as district heating systems."

There will be a lot of collaboration with the IT/OT software engineer in the future. That is the other software engineering vacancy currently open.

Your working day

What will the workday of the new PCS7 engineer look like?

In any case, you start the day by greeting your fifteen colleagues, or however many are in the office at the time.

Then during the day you work on one or more projects. Usually a main project and one or two projects in the start-up or completion phase. In addition, you are regularly asked to contribute as a technical expert in the sales phase.

Engineers are expected to think along with customers. Cybersecurity is becoming increasingly important in this regard.

There are weeks when you will be working full time on a project in the office, but there are also days when you will be working at customer sites, on commissioning, service work or drop offs.

So a very varied job; challenging and never the same.
