Powerspex branch Veenendaal has a vacancy for software engineer available. A challenging position in (soon) a beautiful building.
It concerns a vacancy for HBO technician who is proficient in specifying and developing software for control and protection of process installations.
Requirements
Senior engineer Jasper Rutjes talks about the vacant job. He is the one who conducts the interviews.
Rutjes: "It's a vacancy for someone with a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or automation, preferably someone with knowledge of TIA Portal. Knowledge of the process industry is an advantage."
Atmosphere
How would you describe the working atmosphere?
"The atmosphere is very informal, but if there is work to be done, it is done seriously. We prefer to greet a new colleague who understands this often abrupt switch. The motto here is 'we do it together'. Here, no one is left behind if they have questions."
Your working day
What will the working day of the new software engineer look like?
"Well, the life of a software engineer goes in all directions. Most colleagues start their workday around 7:45 a.m., although the first one starts as early as 6:00 a.m. First coffee, then work. Sometimes you're programming in the office, the next you're performing functional tests in the workshop. Or you're working at the customer's site to implement the software."
Work location now renovated
The Veenendaal location is currently undergoing a major renovation.
"We are looking forward to the moment when we move back to the original location. Soon we will be living in a beautiful building, in an office with lots of daylight. With a nice canteen on top of that, where we end the week together on Friday afternoon. We also hold regular barbecues. The cozy, informal character of Powerspex Veenendaal is really a recommendation to apply here," Rutjes concludes.
