Turnkey bioenergy installation – Emmtec Green Steam BV

Emmtec Green Steam BV wanted to realize a sustainable steam supply at the GETEC Park in Emmen that uses bio-coal as a renewable fuel.

For a completely new, sustainable steam installation, process and safety automation, electrical engineering, and instrumentation had to come together as one whole from the very first design stage — with no existing system to build on.

Powerspex managed the project comprehensively from engineering to commissioning. Key activities included designing process and safety automation, integrating the boiler installation with burner systems and flue gas cleaning, supplying electrical and instrumentation systems, and implementing a Siemens PCS 7 control system. Through close coordination between all parties involved, the various subsystems were brought together into a single stable and easily manageable whole.

The bioenergy plant now reliably supplies sustainable steam for industrial applications at the GETEC Park.
